Starting time 10.30pm sharp. McGirl’s play Jackie’s in the second semi final on the 17th of February, the venue for that game is Terry Shortt.

Annual Drama Festival

Church of Ireland
The Church of Ireland, Church Street, Ballinamore, Sunday service is at 12.15pm every Sunday except on the 4th Sunday which is held in Drumreilly Church, Drumreilly.

Hospice Church Gate Collection
A church gate collection will be held in aid of Northwest Hospice on the week-end of 11th & 12th February. The collection will be supervised by members of Area Community Care Committee. Permit granted.

Rehearsals are in full swing for one of the best loved musicals of all time, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers to be staged from February 24th to March 3rd in the Community Centre. It promises to be a fun-filled production of fabulous songs and impressive dance moves together with light-hearted comedy – just what we all need in the present times! Based on the film of the same name Seven Brides For Seven Brothers is all boisterous fun and romance that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical. Some of the well known songs include Bless your beautiful hide, Wonderful day, Going courtin, Lonesome polecat and Sobbin’ women.
The members have been rehearsing diligently since long before Christmas and everyone is enjoying the fun and frolics in the run up the this eagerly awaited popular show. Watch this space for further details.

A Ballinamore women’s group are organising a weeklong trip to Dubrovnik and Medgugorge – 4 nights Dubrovnik three nights Medgugorge, leaving Dublin 27th of June. ‘Crossroads’ Youth Congress – The Youth Congress will take place on the 26th of February 2011 in St Ciarans College, Ballygawley Co Tyrone. 7 Ulster Dioceses will Work together( Kilmore , Armagh ,Derry , Clogher , Drumore , Down & Connor , Raphoe) to hold this day long event of Prayer,Talks, Workshops including Music Ministry , Drama ,Dance , Net Ministries , Siolta ,Leadership ,Love & Relationships and many many more . The Event will host two age categories Young people in secondary school & 18 plus . The Diocese will organise a bus to leave for Ballygawley on the day . BreastCheck are inviting women aged 50-64 from Leitrim for FREE mammograms. Women will receive an appointment by post to attend the BreastCheck Mobile Unit in the car park of The Bush Hotel, Carrick. Ballinamore community fitness and weight loss program continues this
week with the male exercise class Wednesday at 8.30pm and the female
fitness class Friday at 7pm. The Bootcamps on Saturday at 9am are
proving to be a great success. Remember all are welcome to join in on
the community walk Sunday at 9am. The fitness instructor Michelle
Fanning provides health and nutrition advice during each class. The
groups are doing very well and are enjoying the program. Well done to
the ladies who were the biggest losers this week. Anybody interested
in taking up a similar operation transformation challenge for the

Leitrim Development Company is holding a Festival Information Evening for new, existing and emerging festivals in County Leitrim on Thursday 16th February at 7:00pm in the Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon. The meeting will outline the types of funding available under the LEADER Programme for festivals in the county, how to apply for LEADER funding and also examine ways in which festival organisers can share information and expertise and develop key skills. Rinn Shannon & District Angling Club. Pike Competition held on the shores of Lough rowan [Laura lake] on Sunday 5th Feb was won by Tony Gallagher Ballinamore. Tony had a pike 21lb .
